THE BIBLE reads, “No Good Thing Dwells in the Flesh” (Romans 7:18-20) I Beg to Differ.

There was a time in my life I based my faith solely on the book we call THE BIBLE, and in the ministers whom preached it. My self-esteem was feeble, my behavior passive, and the more I studied this book we call THE BIBLE, the more I became confused. This book, THE BIBLE and it’s interpretations in the mouth of ministers, clashed with my logical reasoning, and understanding of my creator. In many cases biblical teachings were in total opposition to that which I knew to be GOD, spirit, life, and truth. By age twenty-eight, religion had became such a burden, I thought I was having a nervous breakdown. I laid aside the book, THE BIBLE, which I had studied diligently since the age of 9, reading twelve times through between ages 12 and 24. After an intellectual meltdown of biblical proportion; at age 29 I began to commune with nature. In nature, I better understood creation and the essence of the creator. By thirty I completely dropped the practice of religion altogether, but not the study of THE BIBLE nor other religious and spiritual text. My slogan became, “There are many truths in the bible, but not all the bible is true”. I later revised it too, “There are many algorithmic allegories of truth in THE BIBLE, once we get beyond the division of religion”. My history; I was raised in church, and in a family of Preachers, Religious Teachers, Ministers, and Evangelist. My earliest memories of church were intricately woven with fear and bewilderment. I questioned constantly, but was told, “We do not question GOD and we do not lean on our own understanding.” Thus, I read THE BIBLE with an insatiable desire to know GOD for myself. I listen intently to stories in Sunday school, and in bible classes. I had many favorite tales such as Namaan and Gehazi (2Kings 5) or Joshua and the people of Gibeon (Joshua 9) and many favorite characters such as Enoch, Elijah, Elisha and Peter. I wanted to walk as Enoch walked with GOD and was no more for GOD took him. I wanted miraculous manifestations to follow me as they did Elijah and Elisha and Peter. I desired to be so scripturally sound that folks would be healed as a result of my words or deeds. Like Peter, I wanted folks to walk into my shadow and be healed. From age nine to twelve, I attended Christian school; my day began and ended with biblical studies. We had weekly assemblies steeped in biblical lore and metaphor. I passed religious studies with constant ‘A’s… but basic reading, spelling, and arithmetic, I was failing miserably, and somehow, despite my grades in basic education, I became a word smith. I learned words have power, and with my trusty dictionary, I used my words well; so well, I could agree without actually agreeing. I could say a thing without saying a thing. With my words I could dodge the bullets, of direct questions pertaining to my faith; thus giving the appearance of conformity, without conforming. I learned the ways of Christianity well; knowing all the adequate quotes, and delivering all the adequate responses. Don’t get me wrong, I was in it to win it, because we all know ninety-nine and a half won’t do. But as time passed and my studies continued I realized what I sought was not in church, religion, or Christianity. What I sought was and had always been inside of me; yet I continued to wear the continence of Christianity until I had the strength to stand in my truth. Today I boldly proclaim, I am not a Christian, I follow no religious affiliation. I simply seek and follow truth wherever it is found. Today, I am a freer being living in knowledge with understanding. Religion says, there is no good thing in the flesh, but I beg to differ; for within me, within this flesh called Sista/Kim, dwells the essence of my creator and all the possibilities the creator has bestowed in me and to me, this is a good thing. Running (Sista Thoughts)

Much like running from a dog that’s chasing you,
Running from sin only leaves you tired and exhausted…
It has been my experience, to face the sin, the deed, the action, the thought… and confront it… “What you resist will persist” as they say…
So face and embrace who you are, see yourself (your sin) clearly and forgive yourself. Once you have forgiven yourself, release the sin, the deed, the action, or the thought with love. Now you understand what it is, to be made whole.

“Worship what you know” … John 4:22

Jesus said,
“And I shall send unto you a comforter”… John 16:7
I am of the opinion, that the comforter whom Jesus sent was, “KNOWING”…
Know the truth, and it will make you free.
The disciples of Jesus believed in him,
Trusted in him, and now upon his death, they had to know he was a man of his word.
That KNOWING, would comfort them in his absence, and in the pursuit of their calling.
Jesus said, “These works I do, you can do also, and greater works than these.
Without KNOWING, there are no works…
This is what I mean when I say, “Believing must graduate to KNOWING”
“Worship what you know” … John 4:22

“If the LORD will’s”

We must stop with the cop-out, of "If the LORD will's".
In interpretation, "If the LORD will's" simply means, if it doesn't happen, it aint my fault,
GOD wasn't ready for me to have it or do it.
Now let the truth be told;
That is not all together correct.
The correct answer is,
You were not ready for that, which you asked,
You doubted its existence,
You had not the patience to watch for its manifestation.
You do not believe, nor truly know, what you ask, "IS"!!!
I was an, “IF”, person before as well... but now I know,
I am that I am, and all things whatsoever I ask knowing, that will I receive.

Art by Grace Slick:http://www.limelightagency.com/Grace-Slick/artwork-gallery/wonderland/humpty-dumpty.html

Humpty Dumpty Sat on the Wall….
Humpty Dumpty Had a GREAT Fall…

And I heard them say:
Cry loud spare not...
Innocent or Guilt
Don't Refrain
Lessons are to be Gained
Pedestals sometimes Break,
Humpty Dumpty shared this fate
And all the Kings’ men… are subject to Sin.

THE SONS OF GOD

THE SONS OF GOD
By Louis Maye

In the Bible....we have a story...
Telling us about the sons of God...
And how they were not supposed...to have any
Dealings with the inhabitants...the humans.
Now as with most of the stories...in the bible we are not given the full story...
But a partial telling of ...what ...really took place.
We must also take into account the repetitious nature of history ...which is such..
Because mankind fails to learn the
Lessons of past generations.
We continue to repeat the same mistakes over and over again and again.
Thus if destruction befell them ...will it not ...overtake us also .
What have we done differently to change this outcome...?
What have we done to avoid destruction...absolutely nothing?
In fact we are mimicking ...their very actions.
But let us get back to the sons of God ...who are the sons of GOD?
There have been many speculations ...a plethora ...of answers offered up.
Some would say ...they were the priesthood...
Others say angels. I would conjecture ...that ...they are you ...and I.
Plain every day ordinary men.
Does not scripture say that...
(Every man/woman ...is a priest...priestess...in their own home).
We have all ...somewhere ..sometime ..heard the story...of Enoch ...
In fact in some bibles.., there is indeed
The book of Enoch .
Enoch has also been said to have been ...the Egyptian ...Hermes,
Trigmigistus...called by the Greeks ... Thrice Greatest Hermes.
According to the bible Enoch was taken up by the Angels ...
For he was found to be righteous...the most righteous, of his day and time.
According to...The Book of Enoch... he was deemed the scribe of God.
I...must ask the question...for in a reasoning...thinking mind ...the question begs to be asked...
Why is it...that this book only appears in some bibles...?
While in others we are only given a glimpse into…this story .
Again...a question arises...
If God ...so deemed him the scribe of God...
Then why was it omitted from some bibles
While appearing in others.
In the account given in the Book of Enoch...
Enoch was taken up into the heavens and shown
All the mysteries of the universe ...he also tells the story of the fallen angels or sons of God...and becomes.... due to the angels request...a mediator and intercessor for the sons of GOD
(The fallen angels)...they who took wives of… the daughters of the men.
The mission apparently was for them to come down ...and teach the human population...
But just like in the Star Trek saga... They were given a prime directive...and it was violated.
As they came together in council and there they discoursed as to taking in marriage...
The daughters of men...which apparently was forbidden…by God himself.
Some have speculated that ...this was the situation...which brought about Sodom and Gomorrah.
Cause and effect.
If we were to approach this story in a symbolical way...
It would no doubt...point to men to whom it was given...
The knowledge...of spiritual understanding...
And once recognizing the power and control it carried...
Used this power in a wrong way or manner other than was intended.
Never the less they had come with a knowledge...that surpassed the human understanding....
Then misused it ...and was therefore bound to never...again ascend back to heaven.
F.Y.I....This also means there are two groups of angels ...including the 1/3...which followed Satan. Research AZZAZEL...I think it is.
From a metaphysical point of view ...angels can be interpreted as good thoughts...
Which have become evil...or demonic, as to the usage of mankind…
As always ...I do not ask ...anyone to believe me ...or anything I say...
But I would suggest...if I may… that you research it for yourself.
Be advised also that the biblical stories are also stories telling one of the trials and tribulations...
One must undoubtedly face.... in our journey… our sojourn here on the plain of material existence.
Thank You and God Bless
Louis

Learning the virtues of patience.....

Louis Maye

And what brought that revelation

Sista SistaSister

Life and it's various experiences, reveals what is most needed. Though we hold some virtues, there is always room for growth, and sincere self examination is all it takes to see ourselves. When I examine me, I see, I must learn the virtues of patience... { Book of Judgment chapter 20: There shall be a day of judgment unto thee, O man. Soon or late, thou shalt take the matter into thine own hand; and thou shalt look into thine own soul to judge thyself. This is unto all men; none can escape it. }

Louis Maye

hmmmm...quite true...must check that book

Carlotta Best

This is so true Let God be the judge!!!

Louis Maye

That seems to be the hardest thing for some religious groups to handle ...they can't comprehend the concept of letting GOD...be the judge...thus we continue making the same mistakes as our predecessors ...some within humanity... in it's finite wisdom and knowledge...choose to think themselves capable of the task . But humanity ...is flawed ..with ... prejudices one against the other ...agendas...based in greed and power ..thus their judgments...are unjust .Remember the witch hunts ...the crusades ...the inquisitions...jihads ...and the like...human ..judgments. Yet they always ascribe them to the will of GOD ..Allah...Jehovah....but it is humanity making these judgments.

Stephanie Wallace

@LOUIS..SO TRUE. Man uses religion as a means of controlling each other. What kills me is how those who suffer the most transgressions are convinced that the suffering somehow equates to piety.

Louis Maye

And that we can attribute to ...miss-education...misinformation...disinformation ...and fabrication....down right lying. If they would but open their eyes ...and realize ...look at the world at large ...see the whole picture. the middle class has become the working poor ...our young adults are being manipulated ...to resort to a negative life style ..... the drug trade ...stripping in clubs etc.as instead of creating real jobs ...the system is taking away jobs .and it is all ...mental manipulation...mind control..
on an unimaginable scale ...and it began with religion as it is a means of controlling ..the masses of humanity...and did not begin with now ..but civilizations before this.

Many of us read to locate, take note of, or memorize, that which has been taught unto us.
Some of us study to gather information of that which is written, and has been taught unto us, with no intention of questioning it's validity. Others of us locate, take note of, memorize, gather information and are able to rightly divide the written and ... spoken word, which has been taught unto us, and there confirming or denying it's validity. Wisdom is seeking beyond what is taught or understood, to affirm truth.

Louis Maye

may i copy and paste that on my page

Sista SistaSister

Yes Louis, You're more than welcome to do so...

Louis Maye

it was just so precise ..i couldn't have said it better

Sista SistaSister

:) Thank U

Stephanie Wallace

Many of us...most of us are taught NOT to question. Especially religion. It is made to seem devilish. Imagine masses and masses of ppl just going along just because.... Lives dedicated and given because.... We are afraid of believing in ourselves and how God moves through us.

Sista SistaSister

So very true @ Stephanie
We are taught in childhood, not to question, our parents, our elders, and those deemed to have religious authority over us.. We are not to lean to our own understandings, and if we find ourselves of another opinion, we are told it is the devil. Therefore withstanding our failure, our unwillingness, our fear to question ... that which is questionable, we adhere to a belief passed down but never scrutinize by those we looked to for guidance. We pledge servitude to a belief we ourselves struggle to comprehend, and in so doing, we vaguely acknowledge the God-ness, the creative force within ourselves… (Greater is he that is within U than he that is in the world./ The world meaning outside of U.)

"I am that I am" and that’s all I am…

I am the wanderer in the desert searching the depths of my soul.
I am the traveler who purposefully left the security of home.
I am the pupil who teaches the broken to become whole.
"I am that I am" and that’s all I am…

Need More Wood ? ? ?

(quote derived from a Facebook tread between family members)

When God gives you what to do,
trust Him.
Even if you are building an ark in the desert,
trust him.
He may never make sense, but he will always supply the need,
trust him.

Sometimes we stumble;
Sometimes faith is betrayed;
Sometimes the mistakes we make
are the stones it takes, to build a pathway to the person we will be. Remember we are ever becoming.

Wisdom is the prerequisite of perfecting love,
Truth is the prerequisite of revealed wisdom,
If there is no truth, there is no perfecting love.
Seek truth, wisdom and love will follow.

"When I fall, whether I be friend or foe, stretch forth, help me, dust me off, and send me on my way in love." Yes, Love... The action that surpasses all understanding... The force, that creates forgiveness, in the mist of derision. The virtue, that gives all fallen souls the ability to journey on... and to the sender (the forgiver who's been wronged) the ability to heal, and also grow on.

Misery loves company, and hurt people hurt people. If folks fail to take the time needed to heal, they will always repeat the cycle of pain.
